This year the Fire Department’s Open House will be held at the Main Fire Station in October.
Mission Statement
The Mission of the Monroe Charter Township Volunteer Fire Department is to serve the community by responding to all reported fires and medical emergencies, be it residential or business, and to provide mutual aid to the surrounding communities in accordance with established policies. We will always strive to limit the loss of life and property to the best of our ability, through education and available resources.

Monroe Charter Township has approximately 25 extremely professional and dedicated volunteer firefighters. Each firefighter has extensive training in rescue and fire fighting. Monroe Charter Township has a Main Fire Station at 15331 South Dixie Highway and two satellite stations located at the Township Hall (4925 E. Dunbar Road) and 14795 LaPlaisance Road. In 2013, our firefighters responded to 2200 calls a year.
